Dmitry Anakovsky


Dmitry Anakovsky Dmitry Anakovsky was born in 1978, in Moscow, and began studying music at the age of seven. Beginning in 1991, he began studying tuba at the State High School for Wind Arts, under R.B. Magalimov.

In 1996, Dmitry entered the Moscow Conservatory, studying under Yu.Ya. Larin and finished his graduate studies there in 2001.

From 1998 to 2001, Dmitry was a member of the Bolshoi Theater Orchestra and from 2002-2005 worked in the Russian Philharmonia Orchestra, led by Alexander Vedernikov, often performing as a soloist.

Dmitry won first prize in the 2003 Tolyatti International Competition, and second prize in the 2006 Rimsky-Korsakov Competition in St. Petersburg. Dmitry joined the RNO in 2005.
