Tiziana Tramonti

Soprano

Born in Florence, Tiziana Tramonti studied viola at the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory in her hometown, studying with Piero Farulli. She began her vocal studies with Ettore Campogalliani, Giorgio Favaretto, Erik Werba, and Suzanne Danco.

Her career has take her to the most important Italian opera houses and festivals, including Teatro alla Scala (La traviata, Le nozze di Figaro, Rigoletto, Il barbiere di Siviglia, Gianni Schicchi, La Cenerentola), Teatro dell'Opera in Roma (Cavalleria Rusticana, Le nozze di Figaro, Andrea Chénier, Evgenij Onegin), Teatro Comunale in Florence (La traviata, La Cenerentola, Jenufa, Parsifal), Teatro Comunale in Bologna (The Makropulos Case, Le nozze di Figaro, Die Zauberflöte, Les oiseaux de passage), Teatro Regio in Torino (La forza del destino, Andrea Chénier, Il trovatore), Teatro Regio in Parma, Teatro San Carlo Napoli, Arena in Verona (Carmen).

Outside of Italy, Tramonti has performed at the Salzburg Festival (Marcellina in Le nozze di Figaro), at the Opernhaus in Zürich (Il barbiere di Siviglia), at the Opéra National de Paris (Gianni Schicchi), at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich (Le nozze di Figaro), at the Opéra de Lyon, at the Opéra de Nanterre, at the Teatro de Santiago de Campostela (L'enfant et les sortilèges) and at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam (Suor Angelica), just to name a few. She has worked with important conductors such as Bruno Bartoletti, Riccardo Chailly, Gianandrea Gavazzeni, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Gustav Kuhn, Riccardo Muti, Daniel Oren, Zoltán Pesko, Michel Plasson, and Donato Renzetti.

In concert, Tramonti has performed works from Bach to Fauré, from Beethoven to Mahler, from Liszt to Schönberg, as well as works by Malipiero, Dallapiccola and Henze.

Future engagements include Le nozze di Figaro (Marcellina) at the Opéra de Montecarlo, La Cenerentola (Tisbe) in Shangai, Rigoletto (Giovanna) in Caracalla with Teatro dell'Opera in Rome and Manon Lescaut at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence.
