ANTONIO BANDERAS AND RUSSIAN NATIONAL ORCHESTRA
TEAM UP FOR SPANISH RECORDING OF
PETER AND THE WOLF AND WOLF TRACKS

Moscow, March 7, 2005 -- Last week in Los Angeles, international film star Antonio Banderas recorded the Spanish narration for the Russian National Orchestra's Grammy-winning CD of Peter and the Wolf/Wolf Tracks. The Spanish language version will be released by PentaTone Classics in SuperAudio format later this year, and there are also plans for Banderas to appear live with the RNO in a future performance of these pieces.

The RNO's Wolf project, developed under the artistic direction of American conductor Kent Nagano, includes the roll out of recordings in multiple languages. The recording with legendary Russian actor Oleg Tabakov and new theater star Sergei Bezrukov will be launched in Russia later this year. Sophia Loren, who joined with Bill Clinton and Mikhail Gorbachev to narrate the original English language CD, has agreed to make a recording in her native Italian. The celebrity narrators are donating their royalties to charity.

The project also continues with performances of both Peter and the Wolf and Wolf Tracks. Last week in London, the Russian Wind Quintet performed a special chamber ensemble arrangement narrated by BBC radio host Seva Novgorodtsev, at London's Living Room on the top floor of the new City Hall. The concert was made possible through the patronage of London Mayor Ken Livingstone and was sponsored by First Russian Radio. The Russian Wind Quintet interpretation has also recently delighted audiences in Russia, Bermuda, Washington, DC and Singapore.
