RNO CD Named Best Recording of the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto

In the November 2017 issue of BBC Music Magazine, the RNO's recording with violinist Julia Fischer was named the Best Recording of the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto.

Founded in 2011 by the government of Voronezh Region, the Platonov Prize is awarded each year to a leading Russian or foreign artist who has made significant contributions to the arts in Russia. The announcement called Pletnev "one of the most brilliant musicians of our times... who combines the oustanding talents of a pianist, conductor and composer."
